Karlia Lykourgou is one of the UK’s leading criminal barristers practicing at Doughty Street Chambers one of the UK’s best known and respected practices. She focuses mainly on criminal defence and professional discipline.
She is also the founder of Ivy & Normanton, the first legal outfitter specialising in legal attire for women. In 2020 she was awarded the Next 100 Years Award for Inspirational Woman in Law Under 35 and was named as a “Change Maker” in their 2020 “Women Who Will” Report. In 2022 Ivy & Normanton was named “Best New Kid on the Block” at the Small Business Awards for best UK SME’s started in the past 18 months. Ivy & Normanton was also Highly Commended at the 2022 Modern Law Awards for Supporting the legal industry. In addition to practicing at the Bar and running a business Karlia regularly speaks and mentors students to support the next generation in achieving their goals.
