Post graduate study applications can be challenging. While I got admissions to to my first choice schools, I lost these admission offers, because I could not meet the financial conditions and costs to accept them. Specifically, for University of Oxford, I lost my place, because deferral options were not available, unless I demonstrated that I had the necessary finances. I had to apply again. That meant going through the whole process afresh. As mentioned, there can be several challenges that one may face as they consider applying for post graduate programs and scholarships.
I am therefore excited to participate in this conversation organised by the Uganda Law Society – LAP titled, “Post graduate applications and funding opportunities.” This will take place this Wednesday at 5:00pm EAT. I will speak alongside Ms. Tina Wamala from the British High Commission and Juliet Josephine Nabadda .
I will share my personal experiences (as a Fulbright Scholar) and answer any questions about post graduate applications. Hopefully, we can help someone, and be of benefit to them, practically, or even through encouragement. We face challenges but are not defined by them.
The event is free and will be held this Wednesday.
